The summer has been good. The weather has been pretty bad, but people are still smiling. Åmål Bluesfest was great! Notodden Bluesfest was cool - we brought in Leif Winther as a guest "Sister", with his barytone -and bass saxophones Will put parts of the concert on youtube and facebook

Sommersmuget-live was a great success this year with loads of high quality performers. See www.myspace.com/sommersmugetlive and the group on facebook for a complete list of performers.

Next up is a show in Porsgrunn with folk legend Knut Buen . Also we're playing Bergen, Ørland Bluesfest and Vasterås soon.

The Leadbelly project is in progress. Daniel and Stig will be performing at schools in Telemark in November. Might also do a concert version for clubs later

Åmål Bluesfest was great. It was a beautiful festival, and we'll return next year. It was cool to see, hear and meet John Mooney ! (see photos section).

We've had lots of great musicians at Sommersmuget this summer. We'll be playing until August 11th. Congratulations to Jan Tore "Kito" Eriksen for winning Sommersmugetprisen 2007!

Come see us at Carbiden, Notodden Bluesfestival in august (4th at 13:00 pm). Leif Winther will be joining us on the baryton saxophone Will record the show for radio.

Summer is upon us. We will be playing Åmål Bluesfest, Sweden, in July. Look forward to seeing John Mooney & Bluesiana.

Did a great show with folkmusician Knut Buen, jazzman Guttorm Guttormsen and Stig Sjøstrøm at Wrightegaarden recently. Might do some more shows in the near future.

We've had a great summer playing many fine festivals . Daniel and Stig have been involved in Grenland Friteater's project "Stedsans". This resulted in the CD "Ekkert Pakk" featuring Rev. John and jazz genious/composer Guttorm Guttormsen. The CD will be available at www.grenlandfriteater.no soon.

For the next couple of months, Daniel and Stig will join the teathre again. The production "Jeg Hater Måker/I Hate Seagulls" will be playing all of November. www.teateribsen.no

We've had great success with the backalley concert series "SommerSmuget-live" this summer, and will continue next year. Thanx to Roald's Elektro, Knut Arntzen, Morgan Instruments and all the artists and volunteers who made it happen. See y'all next summer...

Jeff Sarli Passes Away

We have just heard that bassist Jeff Sarli has passed away as a result of complications associated with kidney disease. He had been undergoing dialysis treatments. You can read more about Jeff's career at www.jeffsarli.com, but for those who did not know him, he was a gentle soul. Jeff was probably most known as the usual bassist with John Mooney, but can be heard on many albums, including those by Big Joe and the Dynaflows and most famously, Bridges to Babylon by the Rolling Stones. Keith Richards wanted Jeff and his upright bass to put some roll back in the Stones' rock. Jeff had been living in Nashville, but had been a long-time resident of Annapolis.
