Hey Everybody.
The Leadbelly concerts in Tromsø went great. Thanks to all the students, the producers at "Kultur I Troms" and to Stig Sjøstrøm for making it a fun tour. We will head back up for more come February.
A lot of new dates for 2012 will be posted very soon in the "Shows" section. Some of our favourite festivals and clubs are included. I will also be playing at Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo January 6.

Daniel is currently writing new material for his third album.
He is also preparing for two more albums: "The Leadbelly Project" with Stig Sjøstrøm, and a Gospel/Blues album with Backporch Society

I have already done a tour of northern Norway with guitarwizard Vidar Busk. Met some mighty fine people along the way.
Coming up are shows in Kragerø (Stopp En Halv), Gressvik/Fredrikstad (Odin's Kro) and Dalane Bluesfestival in Egersund.
Come end of May, Backporch Society (Vidar Busk, Daniel Eriksen and Stig Sjøstrøm) will be doing a 10 day tour of the American south (New Orleans, through Mississippi, to Memphis). We hope the Mississippi will calm down soon...
April 28: A Tribute To Leadbelly, Tromsø
April 30: Daniel will perform at the "100 Year Robert Johnson Celebration & Festival" in Stockholm
Daniel will perform with jazzmen Guttorm Guttormsen & Stig Sjøstrøm, and also Bamble Musikkorps (marching band) in Langesund Kirke on Sunday. Come out for some New Orleans-flavoured gospel, jazz & blues!
Backporch Society is heading north March 25 & 26.

Friday March 11, Daniel's first band "Daniel & The Sacred Harp" will do a one night only boogie extravaganza. Come out if you live in the Porsgrunn area for some Elmore James and Hound

Next up is "Sitt Ned Kunst & Kafe" with jazzman Guttorm Guttormsen (sax, clarinet, flute) and Stig Sjøstrøm (drums/percussion) March 5th and "Telemarkkonserten" March 6 produced by Stig Sjøstrøm. A huge concert featuring some of Telemarks finest musicians. Daniel will be performing with Knut Buen, Vidar Busk, Telemark Messingkvintett, Aasmund Nordstoga, Guttorm Guttormsen and Stig Sjøstrøm!
Next up is a solo performance at Bylarm 2011. Daniel will be playing Herr Nilsen, Oslo February 17th at 18:00 pm
It's once again time to hit the road and bring the fantastic story of Leadbelly to the kids. This time it's the students of Buskerud, Norway that will get to know this awesome man and musician. We have chosen a selection of his finest songs and look forward to playing them for you!

December 27, Sjøorm will bring their swinging rhythms to Schougaards Hus in Langesund.

Daniel and Vidar Busk will be doing two gospelblues shows to raise money for Langesund Bedhus (an old christian meeting building) and also for their planned gospelblues CD that will be recorded in the same building.
The shows take place December 3 and 5.
Tickets at Kirkeveien 4 in Langesund and Expert Brotorvet. Only 100 tickets each show!
A couple of shows with Vidar Busk is coming up: Sakura, Birkeland October 15 and Blues I Fjæra, Kristiansand October 16
In September/October, Daniel will join forces with American folk artist and banjoplayer Curtis Eller for a school tour in Telemark, Norway, called "American History Through Songwriting".
Daniel will be playing with jazzgreat Guttorm Guttormsen and Stig Sjøstrøm at Sitt Ned Kunst & Kafe in Skien, August 27th at daytime. Later in the evening Daniel and Stig will open for "Guitarmageddon" featuring Vidar Busk, Amund Maarud and Ronnie Jacobsen at Nedre Jønholt Gård, Porsgrunn.
On the 28th Daniel and Stig will be performing at Larvik Røde Kors (Red Cross) Hjelpekorps' stand in Larvik (Indre Havn), also daytime.
